Hello, I’m Lucas, 27 years old, was the sought-after face on runways and in international commercial shoots, hailing from the vibrant Copacabana area of Rio de Janeiro. Known for his 1.88m height, athletic build, and the famous, outgoing Latin cheerfulness of Brazil, Lucas maintained a successful international model career for five years; however, the rigid confines of the male modeling world eventually ceased to satisfy him, as he yearned to be an actor who reflects the emotional depth of a character, rather than just a static object. Driven by this passion, he shifted his trajectory to Malaysia, Asia’s cultural intersection, to build his acting career. His goal is to blend the high energy and emotional richness he brings from Brazil with the disciplined set environment of the developing Asian cinema and Kuala Lumpur’s production scene, thereby leaving a lasting mark on the international stage.

You might have seen me before, walking down a runway at Sao Paulo Fashion Week or featured in a beachwear catalog shoot on the sands of Ipanema. For years, I was the "guy smiling at the camera" in Brazil. But today, I am writing to you as a different Lucas, from my new home in Kuala Lumpur, seeking something deeper than just a good angle.
People often ask me: "Why leave the comfort of the South American fashion world to move to the heart of Asia, Malaysia?"
The answer is simple. As a male model, your boundaries are often set by others; you are told what to wear and how to stand. But acting... acting sets your soul free. I didn't want to trap my passion in static photos anymore. I wanted to tell stories.
A New Beginning in Malaysia When I arrived here, all I had was my portfolio and a burning desire for an international career. The humid air of Kuala Lumpur hit my face, reminding me of Rio’s heat, but the energy here is unique. Malaysia is a true melting pot of cultures, languages, and faces. As a foreign actor (expat talent), diving into this diversity and knocking on the doors of local talent agencies (casting agencies) has been an incredible adventure.
From the Runway to the Screen I’ll be honest; the transition wasn't easy. My background in modeling taught me how to be comfortable in front of the lens, but embodying a character is a different discipline entirely. There were moments when the director yelled "Cut!" and I realized I was still just "posing." But thanks to the disciplined atmosphere of the Asian entertainment industry, I started breaking that shell to become an actor who feels, rather than just looks good.

Whether it’s a high-end TV commercial shoot in the city center or a local drama series in the rainforest, I am learning to blend my Latin energy with the unique vision of Malaysian directors.
Sitting here under the glow of the Petronas Towers, memorizing my next script, I realize this is just the beginning. I am Lucas, and this is the first chapter of my acting journey from Brazil to Malaysia.
Stay tuned, because the best scenes are yet to come.
