Hello, I’m Oksana. 🇺🇦
For years, my life was measured in millimeters, lighting setups, and magazine covers back in Ukraine. I was a successful female model in Kyiv and Odesa, known for my Eastern European features. But I traded that comfort—the familiarity of my home country—for a new, terrifying, and thrilling pursuit: acting.
There was only one place to challenge myself truly: London, UK.

The Leap from Runway to Role
The decision was not easy. For my family, leaving a solid modeling career for the uncertainty of the UK acting industry seemed crazy. But my heart knew the difference: modeling is about projecting an ideal; acting is about embodying reality. I no longer wanted to simply pose for my portfolio; I wanted to speak, feel, and transform.
London is the ultimate testing ground. The sheer number of talented people here is overwhelming, but the industry is vibrant and globally respected. I knew breaking into the UK market would be essential for an international career.

The London Reality
The reality of the casting rooms here is brutal. I went from being the star of the show in Ukraine to being one of thousands auditioning for a minor TV series role. The competition is fierce, and the rejections are constant.
My main focus now is intensive training. I work daily on accent softening and dialect coaching—a crucial step for an actress in the UK. Finding the right agent who believes in my versatility and my unique background has been the biggest hurdle. Every challenging audition is a victory in itself. The energy of this city, the history of its theatre, and the ambition that fills the air—it all pushes me forward.
I am not just a girl from Ukraine anymore; I am an aspiring actress staking her claim on the world stage. My journey has just begun.
